At Rest

The resting of the dead
Its the ultimate rest
They say some burn in hell when they die
But it has also been said that all souls return to God, except the wicked are destroyed
I can't imagine not existing
I could imagine complete and total rest and relaxation, but not non-existence
To rest for a while is good
But after resting I'd want to be active
So if I should ever find myself not resting, and not existing
I'd hope I would awake from such a distasteful modality
And tell the world of all the wonderful immutable bounty they so lackadaisically set aside
